For our topic we are doing world famous and we are doing about Michael Faraday and Thomas Edison invented the first lightbulb and we are doing about the Victorians.In the victorian times they had no central heating and no cars they had horse and carrige and Michael Faraday was quite rich and bulit his own lab to try new things out.

Today we have been learning about electricity. We have been dwrawing simple circuits and writing if the circuit is right or wrong and people have been saying that the circuit is wrong but it is right. Mr Burgess has set us a game the game is domminos but with circuit symbols.

In y5 we have been learning about famous people.The famous person we have been learning about is Queen Victoria.
We have been looking at biographies to find information about famous people like when they was born and where they were born.
We looked at diffrent websites on the mini note books to find out what inventions were made in victoria times.
We have made a little inventions booklets and written inside them they say who made the inventions and when they was inventied also we tried to draw a picture of the inveniton.

In 5BG were testing which roof was the most water proof.We were spilt into 5 different groups and the red group’s roof was the most sucesessfull out of all the groups it only had a littel bit of water on the in side of the roof.Then we all made new roofs and frames.

On wednesday afternoon we did topic work. We did a treasure hunt on the class map. The purpose of the treasure hunt was to test our skills of direction and to see if we could write some instructions to tell us were we were going.

In class 5bg we have been doing topic work to do with Wallace and Grommit. We made are own maps and we added symbols to them.Then we made a class map and drew some more symbols to go on it. After that we got into groups to draw group map and we also used a scale in our group maps.
We have been making are own maps of vilages. We made some symbols to put on them and coloured the background.After that we made are own class map of a vilage that Mr Burges editted from one that we had made. Then we added symbols and a river to it, then stuck it up at the back of the classroom.
