World Famous

In y5 we have been learning about famous people.The famous person we have been learning about is Queen Victoria.

We have been looking at biographies to find information about famous people like when they was born and where they were born.

We looked at diffrent websites on the mini note books to find out what inventions were made in victoria times.

We have made a little inventions booklets and written inside  them they say who made the inventions and when they was inventied also we tried to draw a picture of the inveniton.

In maths we have been learning how to divide and times with decimal numbers and parellel lines in shapes.It has been very fun in maths.  We have doing lines of  symetry with shapes. Math has been very fun and exciting.

Bulding Saxon roof’s (test) and house frame

In 5BG were testing which roof was the most water proof.We were spilt into 5 different groups and the red group’s roof was the most sucesessfull out of  all the groups it only had a littel bit of water on the in side of the roof.Then we all made new roofs and frames.

5BG have been making roof’s for our  houses.We have been using cardboard,straws(art) and glue to stick it all together.We were spilt into 5 different groups we were doing different desings on each groups roof the desgins were different because we are  going to do a test to see which one is most water proof.

In year 5 we were starting to wright our three parted myths about the rain,snow,desert,thunder and lightning and other naturall things like that ,we were having such fun.When we had finished some people read their myths out they were all fantastic but nearly all of them needed to change a small part of it.It was lots of fun that pepole wanted to wright a lot more myths some with mythical creaters some Gods and Goddess.

On Friday we were taking notes for our Myths that we were writing and were also starting to plan our own story’s.There mostley based on rain,snow,thunder and lighting and lots of other things like that .Most of our myths contain Gods and Godesses some mythicel creaters.On Monday we are going to start to write our story’s using our notes that we have made some will be exiting.

We were doing gymnastics , flight on & off. We ran to a spring and we wernt aloud to use our hands and knees to get up on to the table. In Ground hocky we past the puck to each other other then we did lots of other hockey activities to practice.
